I am starting this blog to share with you past and future really good walks that I have done. Some call it hiking, and some call it trekking.
I used to walk loads in South African mountains/areas – the Magaliesberg, the Drakensberg, Blyderiver Canyon, the Transkei, to name a few.
After walking the Cotswold Way in England, which is a 102 mile (164km) walk from Chipping Campden to Bath in England in only 5 days, I was inspired to do many more and want to share the following past 5 walks with you:
The Camino de Santiago de Compostela Frances, Ingles and Portuguese Coastal, as well as trekking the Langtang Valley and Poonhill in Nepal.
I then would like to take you on my journey to another trek in Nepal later this year where I will do the Mardi Himal trek.
I want to share with you my training programme, packing lists, equipment, do’s and don’ts and gladly will answer any questions you may have.
Enjoy the journey!
